Pastoral Council Minutes - June 21, 2007
Members Present: Rose Davis, Nivia CiFuentes, Linda Heininger, Jim
Rotondo, Gary Sapienza, Joe Scavuzzo, George Tutwiler, and Father Stan.
Absent: Tom Corbett, Pat Higgins
Opening Prayer: Father Stan
Old Business:
Each Interim Council member submitted 3
names of candidates for nomination for the election of the new Council in the
Fall. Our August bulletins will open
the invitation to all parishioners who are
interested in running for the Council.
Reports: None.
New Business: The above mentioned candidates would oversee a
specific position in the following Ministries:
-Communications Director:
the critical link between the Council, Ministries and Parishioners. This person must possess strong
communication skills and sensitivity to language barriers.
-2 Redevelopment Committee
Reps: 1 parish/1 school as we enter into the Diocesan implementation of
changes
-Hispanic & Vietnamese
Representative to bridge the gap between the parish and these critical
communities
-Spiritual Life Director:
Seasonal programs/seminars
-Liturgy: Will attend
Diocesan training in the Fall
-Facilities Manager (formerly
Grounds & Buildings)
-Finance & Fundraising:
Keeping us afloat.
-Humanities (Youth,
Young Adult & Seniors)
-School: Will be
represented by the Principal or other delegate in the absence of the Principal
-Stonegate Representative:
To bridge the gap between Stonegate and the Parish. We currently have 12 Stonegate families registered at St.
Stephen’s.
Next Pastoral Council
Meeting: Thursday, July 19, 2007 @
7:00pm in the School Faculty Lounge.
The meeting was closed by a
prayer by Nivia CiFuentes.
